Irish French Bread — Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I bought some nice fresh Irish soda bread at Sprouts today and I thought I would try a quick “French bread” treatment.

A couple of rough slices from the soda bread loaf

A quick egg wash

Here are the slices after a dip in the egg wash

Hot melted butter in a sautee pan

"Toasted" soda bread

The final product with some drizzled honey

Sláinte! I love my french toast/soda bread slightly carmelized so I was very happy with this quick sweet treat!

Yoshi Color Study

I took this photo of my cat, Yoshi awhile back. The original shot was fairly dark and I thought it would be kind of cool to transform it into a “night shot” style portrait. It turned out pretty nice, I think.

One of our clients, RSW Creative, does quite a bit of work for the North Texas Food bank. Each year they create billboards for the charitable organization. They sent us ordinary photos that required a rough, photo copied look to fit in with their design. This is the supplied photo.

We do some work for a design vendor for Hilton and the following set of images shows some color correction techniques for matching the new subdued and elegant Hilton brand photography standards. Our client sent us a set of images that were approved by Hilton for us to match. As in this example, they are all before and after images that show the image supplied to us on the left and our color correction results on the right.
